Your first memory

1. Create a free account and confirm your email. You can start in the browser without installing anything.
2. Open Memories and choose New memory. Give it a title you will recognise, then write the useful steps or context.
3. Use Markdown formatting if you like. Switch to Preview, or choose a side-by-side view while you write.
4. Save the memory. Open Recall and search for something from the note to find it again.

Start small. One clear procedure with the reason it worked is often more useful than a folder of unlabelled screenshots.

Capture and import

Notes, files and quick captures

Create memories directly, attach useful files or use Quick capture to hold something for review. Text extraction can make supported files and screenshots searchable once processing finishes. Check the original if extracted text looks wrong.

Bring notes from another tool

Open Settings, then Account, to find import options. Export from your existing tool first, then choose the matching source in NeuroMyelin.

These are one-time imports, not ongoing sync connections. NeuroMyelin backups have their own import options. Keep your original export until you have checked the imported content.

Find it with Recall

Type keywords or ask a question such as “How did I configure that Fortinet VPN?” Use the result-type selector to narrow the search to memories, files, images, learned answers or a particular kind of saved work.

OCR text only searches extracted text from images and supported documents. Open the preview to compare a match with its original. Match confidence describes relevance to your search, not OCR accuracy.

If you want an AI answer

Normal Recall uses saved knowledge. Ask AI is a separate action, with a choice about including search results as context. Other AI-enabled workflows may use their own context and provider settings.

Explore the Memory Graph

Use type filters and the linking options to focus the graph. Select a node to inspect its memory, or open it to read the full item. Review suggested relationships before accepting them.

A shared tag or a suggested connection is a way to explore related work. Check the source before relying on it.

Protect or share a memory

Open a memory and use Password protect beside its other actions. The server checks the password before allowing access to protected content; its title can still appear in the memory list.

Use Share to create a public link for a memory or list. Choose the link's password, expiry, view limit and attachment settings. The recipient can view without an account.

For shopping lists, enable “Allow recipients to tick items” if you want recipients to tick and untick items on your list. Changes are saved for everyone with access; recipients cannot add, remove or rename items. Existing links stay read-only until you enable this setting. Open a link’s details in Sharing to change it. Lists refresh automatically while the page is visible.

Visit Sharing to manage your links. Active links and inactive links have separate tabs. Inactive includes revoked, expired and view-limited links. Open counts describe viewing sessions, not identified people.

Desktop and offline use

The Download page shows available desktop builds. On macOS, install Quick Actions from the desktop app's connection settings to capture through supported right-click menus.

Desktop offline access depends on your plan and a valid offline session. Supported cached content can be read locally, and queued changes sync when connectivity returns. Password-protected memories are excluded from the offline cache. This does not mean every feature works offline.

Plans and your data

The Pricing page lists current plan limits and included features. A downgrade keeps existing data, while actions above the new limits may pause.

Use the data guide for export and account deletion. Password-protected memories and linked content are excluded from exports.
